Right before heading out to the Première Vision Indigo Show in Paris 2014, I had a little bit of time to see what artwork could be touched up and added into the portfolio. There was a pile of floral image cutouts in the studio waiting to be used. I had a little fun and pretended I was already looking at a bodice. I was instantly delighted with the arrangement at top, but the dark blue bottom started to look bare. I decided to create a faux pearl design in illustrator from scratch. I created a scalloped pattern for a vintage look, to contrast against the tribal tropic above. I really love how printing it on swimwear gave it a subtle mermaid feel.
